How to Use Dual Monitor Display in Citrix

If you want to use a dual monitor display in a Citrix environment, follow the steps below:

Method 1:

After the update in June 2025, Citrix introduced a very convenient feature that allows you to directly set up multiple monitors in the settings. Next to the settings, if Citrix detects multiple monitors, an additional option will appear. You can click on it and directly select which monitors Citrix should be displayed on.

Method 2:

Setting Up Dual Monitors in Full-Screen Mode:

• Open Citrix Virtual Desktops and enter the desktop.
• Click the drop-down arrow on the top right of the Desktop Viewer and select ‘Window’ (this option is only available in full-screen mode).
• 
• Drag the Citrix Virtual Desktop window between the two monitors. The display will automatically extend across both monitors.
• In the toolbar, select ‘Full Screen’ to extend the display across both monitors.

Display Limitations in Window Mode

In window mode, Citrix can only display on a single monitor and cannot extend to two monitors.

Monitor Setup Notes

• Make sure the monitors are set to “Extended Mode” so that the operating system can recognize both monitors.
• If the display is not functioning correctly, check that the Citrix settings and monitor configurations are correct.
